There are so many things to say about Grange that it’s difficult to know where to start. There’s the food, the ambiance, the building in which it’s housed, the location and the crowd. They add up to something special in a city that has become a truly great restaurant town.

Grange serves only absolutely fresh, locally-grown food. Grange has a feeling of class with the look the outdoors. Grange is located on the ground floor of the magnificently restored Citizen Hotel. Grange is in the heart of downtown Sacramento within easy walking distance of the Capitol. Grange is a favorite of the political crowd that appreciates a place for the quality of its food.

The breakfast menu is extensive and varied – Cowgirl Creamery cheese, Mimosas, cereals, egg dishes, waffles, pancakes and French toast.

Topping the lunch menu are artisanal Northern California olive oils, marinated beets, soups, salads and sandwiches. There are braised, pan roasted and grilled sections. And then there are the daily two-course lunch specials. At lunch time the place is light and airy.

After dark, the lights dim and the place buzzes with excitement. The dinner menu changes daily depending on what fresh local ingredients are available. But whatever the fare, the quality and attention to detail is tops. Each night brings a new three-course special.
